The exhibition, intended for media libraries and cultural structures that wish to rent it over several weeks, aims to highlight the agricultural know-how and regional gastronomic heritage of Hauts-de-France to raise awareness primarily among children but also among accompanying adults. Through two characters, Alice and Theo, the young public is invited to browse through various panels where the 6 regional sectors are presented, key figures, the seasonality of products for a balanced and local diet, eco-responsible approaches with the right reflexes to adopt (in particular by using bulk or short circuits), existing networks in the region such as Bienvenue à la Ferme or the website ouacheterlocal. fr, the regional brands Saveurs en’Or and Terroirs Hauts-de-France, the products under SIQO and finally the recipes and emblematic products of the region.
The exhibition is not only informative. It is also based on an interactive, immersive and multi-sensorial approach with, among others, game supports with enigmas for children (2 learning levels – cycles 2 and 3) to complete the visit and to be an “actor”, a game of scents for an invitation to (re)discover typical smells of the region, a game of touch to allow visitors to be in contact with products that they have to recognize by their textures. Finally, various dummies are exposed.
A quiz for adults is also proposed to the visitors in order to win a gourmet basket of regional products (by drawing lots) among the correct answers.
